How to Watch Survivor 51: CBS, Paramount+ Prices and Live Countdown

Survivor 51 airs live on CBS every Wednesday from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. The same broadcast also streams live on Paramount+, but only on the Premium plan. If you are on the cheaper Essential plan, or you simply miss the live airing, the full episode appears on Paramount+ the next day, on Thursday, for subscribers on every plan.

You do not need a cable package to watch live. A live TV streaming service that carries your local CBS station, the CBS website or app with a TV provider sign-in, or a basic TV antenna can all get you to Tribal Council on time. This guide covers every option with current Paramount+ prices, sign-up steps, app steps, payment methods, and the rules for watching outside the United States. If you want the full season picture first, our Survivor 51 hub tracks every twist and result as the season unfolds.

All times are converted from the US broadcast, Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on CBS. For regions with several time zones, the table uses the region’s main time zone (Toronto for Canada, Sydney for Australia, Sao Paulo for Brazil). Australia receives episodes on Stan the day after the US broadcast, so there is no live simulcast there.

What channel is Survivor 51 on?

Survivor 51 airs on CBS, the same network that has carried the show since its first season in 2000. If you have cable or satellite, find your local CBS station in your channel guide. CBS is a broadcast network, so it is also available free over the air in most of the United States with a digital antenna, which we explain in the free options section below. There is no separate channel for streaming viewers: the live stream on Paramount+ Premium and on live TV streaming services is your local CBS station, complete with your local ads and news lead-in.

What time does Survivor 51 start?

New episodes start at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT every Wednesday and run for 90 minutes, ending at 9:30 p.m. The season keeps this slot from the premiere through the finale, so your Wednesday routine does not change. Viewers in the Central time zone see the broadcast at 7:00 p.m. local time, Mountain viewers at 7:00 p.m. as well on the delayed feed, and Pacific viewers at 8:00 p.m. local. If you are outside the US time zones, the countdown tool above converts the start to your local time automatically, including the shift that happens when US daylight saving time ends in November.

How to watch Survivor 51 live

There are four reliable ways to watch Survivor 51 live as it airs:

1. Paramount+ Premium. The Premium plan streams your local CBS station live inside the Paramount+ app and website. Open the Live TV section shortly before 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday and the episode plays exactly as it airs on TV. This is the simplest option if you already subscribe, and it is the only Paramount+ plan with live CBS.

2. A live TV streaming service. YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, Fubo and DirecTV Stream all carry local CBS stations in most markets. Sign in to whichever service you use, find CBS in the guide, and you can watch live, record the episode to the cloud DVR, or start from the beginning if you join late, depending on the service.

3. CBS.com and the CBS app with a TV provider sign-in. If your household already pays for cable, satellite or a live TV streaming service, you can sign in to CBS.com or the CBS app with that provider account and watch the live CBS stream at no extra cost.

4. A TV antenna. CBS is a free over-the-air broadcast network. A one-time antenna purchase, usually between the price of a pizza and a video game, gets you CBS in high definition with no subscription at all, as long as a CBS affiliate signal reaches your home.

How to watch Survivor 51 the next day

If live viewing does not fit your schedule, every Paramount+ plan, including Essential, adds the new episode on demand the next day, on Thursday. The episode stays in the library for the rest of the season and beyond, so you can watch on your own time, pause, rewind and rewatch key Tribal Councils before the next episode airs. Next-day episodes on Essential carry ads, because Essential is an ad-supported plan. On Premium, on-demand episodes play without ad breaks.

Missed more than one episode? The Survivor 51 show page on Paramount+ lists episodes in order, starting with the two-hour premiere. To check who has already been voted out before you press play, our Survivor 51 elimination tracker keeps the boot order current after every episode, with spoilers clearly marked.

Can you watch Survivor 51 for free?

The honest answer is: live, on a screen, for free is limited, but not impossible. A TV antenna is the one fully free and fully legal live option in the United States, because CBS broadcasts over public airwaves. Beyond that, be careful with any site promising a free live stream of CBS, because those streams are not licensed and tend to vanish mid-episode.

Paramount+ no longer consistently offers a free trial to new subscribers, so do not count on a trial week covering the episodes you want. Promotions do appear from time to time, and one standing deal is worth knowing: Walmart+ membership includes the Paramount+ Essential plan at no extra charge, so if you already pay for Walmart+, you may already have next-day access to Survivor 51 without paying anything more.

Paramount+ plans and prices

Paramount+ has two plans in the United States, and the difference that matters for Survivor fans is live CBS. US prices below took effect on January 15, 2026.

The short version: if you only watch on demand and do not mind ads, Essential at $8.99 per month covers the whole season a day late. If you want to watch live with the rest of the audience, avoid spoilers on social media, and download episodes for travel, Premium at $13.99 per month is the plan built for that. Paying annually saves money on both plans if you expect to keep the service through the season and into the next one.

How to sign up for Paramount+ step by step

Signing up takes about three minutes:

  1. Go to paramountplus.com on your computer or phone, or download the Paramount+ app and tap the sign-up option.
  2. Enter your name, email address and a password to create your account.
  3. Choose your plan: Essential or Premium, billed monthly or annually.
  4. Enter your payment details and confirm. If you sign up inside the Apple, Google Play, Roku or Amazon app instead, the charge goes through that platform account rather than to Paramount+ directly.
  5. Sign in on your TV, streaming stick, phone or tablet with the same email and password, and you are ready to watch.

If you already have an account from a past season, you do not need a new one. Sign in, check which plan is active under your account settings, and upgrade to Premium only if you want the live CBS stream.

How to watch Survivor 51 on the Paramount+ app step by step

Once your account is active, finding the show is quick:

  2. Tap Search and type “Survivor 51”, or open the Shows section and select Survivor.
  3. On the Survivor show page, choose Season 51. Episodes are listed newest first, so the latest episode sits at the top.
  4. To watch live on Wednesday, Premium subscribers open the Live TV section a few minutes before 8 p.m. ET and select their CBS station. The episode starts with the broadcast.
  5. Watching the next day instead? Open the same show page on Thursday, pick the newest episode, and press play. Your place is saved across devices, so you can start on your TV and finish on your phone.

Tip for new viewers: the show page groups every season together. Make sure the season selector says 51 before you press play, unless you want to start the story from an older season, which plenty of fans do on purpose.

How to pay for Paramount+: payment methods

On the Paramount+ website, you can pay with major credit cards and debit cards, or with PayPal. If you subscribe inside an app, billing runs through that platform instead: the App Store for Apple devices, Google Play for Android, Roku for Roku devices, or Amazon for Fire TV. That means your Paramount+ charge appears on that platform’s bill, and you manage or cancel the subscription in that platform’s settings, not on the Paramount+ website.

Annual billing is charged once up front for the year, while monthly billing renews each month until you cancel. Prices can change with notice, and the rates in this guide are the US prices in effect since January 15, 2026.

How to watch Survivor 51 outside the US

Canada. Survivor 51 airs live on Global TV on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, at the same time as the US broadcast. You can also stream episodes on STACKTV and in the Global TV app and website, where the newest episodes are available free for a limited window after they air.

Australia. New US seasons no longer air on 9Now. Survivor 51 is on Stan, with each episode landing the day after the US broadcast, so Australian fans watch on Thursdays local time.

Other countries. Paramount+ carries Survivor in many regions, but new US episodes do not always arrive on the same schedule, and some countries have no official live broadcaster for new seasons. Check your local Paramount+ library and local listings, and use the countdown tool above to see exactly when the US broadcast happens in your time zone so you can plan around spoilers.

Catch up on past seasons

Every one of the first 50 seasons of Survivor streams on Paramount+, which makes it the single home for a full rewatch, from Borneo in 2000 to the milestone fiftieth season. If Season 51 is your first, the current cast is a good place to start: meet all 21 players, their tribes and their stories in our Survivor 51 cast guide. Long-time fans often rewatch a classic season alongside the new one, and the library makes that easy on either plan.
